French tragedy! Get out the tissues. The death ending was too abrupt and shocking. It would have made more sense if they had elaborated on the emotions involved. What about the aftermath? We didn't get to see the other characters reaction.
The scenery and costumes were gorgeous. A triumph of Art Nouveau setting.
