Review of Chef (2014) by Jeff L — 17 Feb 2015
Like the best hamburgers, Chef is remarkably simple, yet it manages to be one of the most enjoyable cinematic treats in which audiences can engage. Many will disagree with my valuation--and I can certainly understand why--but I can think of no movie more care-free and easy going than Chef.
I wholeheartedly endorse and applaud Favreau's lack of pretense in making a decidedly un-dramatic film. Family growth, a road trip, and good looking food offer a savory cinematic trifecta.
