Admittedly this film has flaws - we're not quite sure why goddesses like Vergara and Johannsson fund Favreau so appealing - but on the whole this is a vibrant film that makes the most of the menu of hot food, a sizzling soundtrack and some sweet father-son interplay.
Do not watch while hungry.
