Review of Che: Part One (2008) by Naomi G — 27 Mar 2009
The movie portrays the greatness of one of the most important figures of the 20th century. Very well filmed, and a fantastic performance by Benicio Del Toro. At no point of the film I felt that it was a propaganda for or against communism. The film was purely trying to view this mans ideals and beliefs and how these were materialized through the revolution and guerrilla warfare.
It saddens me to see how other people view and review this film without even thinking what it is about. People should set aside strong feelings and stereotypes and try and see what this man was all about, what he had to sacrifice and the reasons behind doing what he did.
I can't wait to see part 2.
