Review of Che: Part One (2008) by Axel R — 17 Jun 2009
The first half of one of the most remarkable modern American productions. A bit like Zodiac, it's hard to imagine exactly how this film came to be, but I'm grateful that it did. Benicio del Toro is very strong, and Soderbergh wisely frames him mostly full-figure, so that his whole body tells the story of who he is.
Looking forward to seeing part two.
