Review of Che: Part One (2008) by Jon J — 22 Jun 2010
I would watch hours and hours of Benicio del Toro coughing. Actually, that's the best part of this take on Che, it accepts Che the icon but still gives the impression that being a guerilla requires a lot of hard, boring work that takes its toll on the body.
The contrast is played with well in the film, with scenes of an interview and a speech interwoven with long hikes in the forests with limited supplies and the day-to-day business of running an insurgency.
