Review of Che: Part One (2008) by Adrian Z — 03 May 2012
3 - Somewhat aloof account of Che Guevara's path to Cuban revolution, based on his own memoirs, reveals little of what made the "guerrillero" tick, and spends most of it's time in jungles talking supplies, logistics, and recruitment, framed as a flashback taking place during a more interesting visit to the UN in New York.
Del Toro as Che is good, but sports an iffy Argentinian accent, which becomes distracting. Bardem as Fidel Castro is a standout.
