Review of Chasing Mavericks (2012) by Roxanne R — 30 Mar 2013
Excellent motion picture based on true events! The ocean shots were phenomenal, this film makes you want to head to the beach and learn all about the joys of surfing. It is inspiring and uplifting. Tells the story of Jay Moriarty (played by Jonny Weston) a 15 year old California teen that finds out the giant waves known as Mavericks are very much real and a short distance from his home in Santa Cruz.
Jay convinces Frosty Hesson (Gerard Butler) to teach him how to surf the dangerous mavericks. Frosty balks at first but after having a heart to heart talk with his wife Brenda (Abigail Spencer), he prepares Jay physically and mentally for the most challenging training of his life- to surf the mavericks! If you want to see amazing, incredible and mind blowing wave footage then rent this inspiring film in Blu-ray.
..Add it to your collection, it is awesome! RECOMMENDED!!!
