Review of Chasing Mavericks (2012) by Bruno V — 15 Sep 2013

I've always wanted to be a surfer, but unfortunately I was raised in Smallville, IN. I was interested in this film, but hadn't heard much about it. The reason is because it's not that great.

It's a cool surfing movie, and even cooler that it's based on a true story. But the narrative is choppy, the acting is less than par, and it all just gets muck'd up. The ending did kind of changed my perspective on the film, but still something I'll never see again.

Gerard Butler continues to disappoint me.
