Review of Chasing Liberty (2004) by Steve S — 28 Sep 2010
** (out of four).
A strictly average and entirely predictable romantic comedy. It offers a couple of attractive stars, but that hardly guarantees chemistry between them.
Mandy Moore is the poor daughter of the President of the United States. She longs to be a regular teenager with the freedom to go anywhere without the secret service.
She decides to ditch the agents while on a trip in Italy. There she tastes freedom. It's all overly familiar.
