Review of Chasing Ice (2012) by Tor M — 25 Nov 2014
A film with lovely images and an important message. A well known photographer puts up time-lapse cameras near glaciers to capture their changing process. The documentation is rather drastic - the glaciers are disappearing at a huge rate. After a while there are fewer amazing images of ice and lots of talking instead. Talking that seem repeated. This change is bad, I get that, I don't need it repeated one hundred times. An important and pretty film, but nothing new - this is a film which is more emotional than scientific.
6 out of 10 ice cubes.
