Review of Chasing Amy (1997) by Gr3G0Ry — 01 Jul 2009
An absolute triumph for Kevin Smith, this has the vulnerability of a love story while featuring witty dialogue that isn't exactly surprising from the talented Smith. This is about how love can break stereotypes as if they were peanut brittle, yet it too can also be broken if mistreated.
Affleck is superb here, as well as the rest of the cast, save for Joey Lauren Adams. She absolutely takes the cake and ice cream.
