Review of Charlotte Gray (2001) by Sarah G — 07 Jun 2011
Despite a cast that promises much, and source material (Foulkes' book) that demands greatness, director Armstrong manages to produce a sow's ear from a silk purse. This film sucks the life out of the story and, sadly, the lead players completely failed to engage me on any level, meaning that I really didn't care what happened to them.
Foulkes must have wept into his pint when he saw this.
