Review of Charlie Wilson's War (2007) by Tim M — 04 Apr 2012
Fourth big movie for the sharted guy, this time with Gump and Pretty Woman. Interesting casting, but all play their parts perfectly. They conveniently left out Charlie's drunk driving accident and health problems caused by alcoholism.
It's crazy when the alleged true story is more outlandish than the Hollywood adaptation. The belly dancer didn't even have a sword! It seems the moral of the story is that instead of wasting money and training terrorists Charlie should have said "we'll see". I really wonder what would have happened without his meddling. No 9/11, no 13 year war, damn shame.
