Charlie Wilson's War is a rather dull flick but the actors shine and make the rather slow pace enjoyable. Tom Hanks gives one of his best performances and Phillip Seymour Hoffman really gave me a glimpse of what a great actor he really is.
Julia Roberts was tolerable and Ned Beatty and Amy Adams round out the stellar cast. While the direction wasn't the greatest Mike Nichols allows the actors free range of their characters which make Charlie Wilson's War worth seeing.
