Review of Charlie Wilson's War (2007) by David M — 24 Mar 2010
This is not a typical war film. It's more of a political drama, but there are also comedic elements to it too. Philip Seymour Hoffman played the role of a rebel CIA agent perfectly. Hanks was excellent as the playboy congressman who ends up becoming a powerful activist.
I think this is one of his better performances. Amy Adams wasn't credited enough for her performance in my opinion. She was excellent and I'll be looking out for more films with her in. This is definitely worth watching.
