Shia LaBeouf gives an astonishing performance, which bolsters the chemistry he shares with Evan Rachel Wood. The most admirable aspect of the film is the central love story, but Charlie Countryman fails to attain a steady plot, which is such a mess that certain key aspects of the drama are overlooked.
However, if you pay attention solely to the drama portion, Charlie Countryman will satisfy you.
