It wasn't johnny's fault at all, but then again the movie wasn't that bad. but compared to the original this movie wasn't as great either. as I have said before I think Burton is a hit or miss kind of guy and I think he missed this unfortunately.
there were things that he could have definitely made better. I actually finished my popcorn.
