Review of Charley Varrick (1973) by Jaime-Actor/Screenwriter/Director — 27 Aug 2008
I never thought it would be possible for me to like Walter Matthau as an actor, but he really impressed me here with his smooth, laid back style. There was an equal balance of comedy and drama, there was some suspense, but it lacked a bit of action.
The first few minutes of the film are excellent and if the movie kept that momentum going it would've been a classic movie. Overall it was good, but could've been better.
