Review of Chariots of Fire (1981) by Eric L — 06 Dec 2012

People have recommended this film over and over again throughout the years. I wasn't particularly interested in a movie about running or runners. It seemed about as boring as running seemed to me. However, I see now that I was wrong about this movie, and I might be wrong about running too.

It seems that neither this movie nor running are really much about running at all. I want to watch this again, just like a runner goes over some of the seemingly similar pieces of their run, while practicing yet again, finding deeper insights and meaning and devoting oneself to some greater purpose.
