You don't have to love sports to like this movie. At its base, it's a movie about human nature rather than a full fledged sports movie. Its an inspiring drama of two different athletes competing as runners in Olympics.
Inspiring n heartwarming with patriotism at its core, Chariots of Fire, overall is a well-made film featuring very good performances from its cast, evergreen cinematography & Vangelis' classic score.
The only shortcoming would be its very slow pace compared to other sports films but even with its turtle pace, it captured its drama with finesse.
