Review of Chapter 27 (2007) by Courtney H — 10 Sep 2008
It doesn't delve very deeply into Chapman's motives, merely representing a man completely void of any sense of rationality or sanity come film's end, yet somehow amidst the picture there is a reason to keep watching.
Leto's performance is gratingly obvious in its initial stages, however, a third of the way through it begins to grip and the acting that Chapman so blatantly points out as his reason for hating movies becomes less apparent.
In the end Chapter 27 amounts to a movie that could have been something more.
