This is a low-rent Taxi Driver. Schaeffer is certainly no Scorsese, and Mark Chapman is a pathetic loser, not Travis Bickle, but Leto must be commended for packing on the pounds to do this role, and the supporting cast is very good, including Lohan.
In the end, however, there is no insight into Chapman or the murders, other than to highlight how an insignificant nobody can take away a shining star like Lennon. But we already knew that.
