Review of Chappie (2015) by Mark D — 18 Jul 2015
A movie with great ideas, that completely goes in the wrong direction. I do. know what they were thinking involving the rap duo. Trying for black humor maybe? It doesn't work. And what happens between them and Chappie never works either, in humorous, or dramatic, fashion.
Hugh Jackman is completely wasted as the stereotypical jealous co-worker trying to get his own project funded. We know where this movie is going pretty darn quick.
I'd suggest going back to the original Robocop if you want to see a movie like this done right.
