Review of Chappie (2015) by Andreas K — 06 Sep 2015

Another missed opportunity by Mr Blomkamp; this is a film full of great ideas that misfire because of a weak script. Disappointed by Weavers use in the film and a paper thin villain in Jackman... Chappie himself is a marvelous creation and motion captured Sharlto Copley gives the best appearance together, surprisingly, the Die Antwoord duo.

Felt like what this film needed was a more punkish indie approach. Here's wishing that Blomkamp returns to more District 9 quality pictures next...
