Decided to rent this at the Redbox the other night and given the description, we had high hopes. It's pretty misleading. Chappie becomes a gangster alongside the city's scum, simply because he doesn't know any better.
We were all about to throw in the towel about halfway through and call it a flop. I'm glad we didn't! The movie finally saved itself near the end, talk about a slow build!
