Not Neil's best work, but I will say that his lovely trend of attacking societal issues in a sci-fi setting is still very present. None of the actors other than Sharlto Copley as Chappie, who was amazing, were given much to work with in the script and the story was also lacking a sense of sympathy or empathy.
