Review of Chappaquiddick (2018) by Walter%20 S — 10 Apr 2018
Chappaquiddick is a serious, well made movie, that, although fifty years late, is a must see. It's a fundamental indictment of the deep state. The deep state, much in the news these days, that exists then and now.
With everything we recognize clearly in 2018: a compliant press, a corrupt judicial system, a corrupt, politicized law enforcement arm, a state fueled by a complete belief that the ends justify the means.
As the movie shows it was the start of a decades long coverup. A coverup that created the 'Lion of the Senate' out of a craven, amoral, mendacious, scoundrel and scoundrel who left a young woman to die in his car.
