Review of Chaplin (1992) by Penny K — 30 Jun 2009
A good bio-pic is one that makes me want to go back to the originals/sources. "Chaplin" is very good. Trying to squeeze his whole life (with some embellishment) into one movie can make for a bit of a shallow mess, but on the whole it's enjoyable and a tease into the life of a brilliant man.
Considering how many young talents die/fade out/destroy themselves, Chaplin's life should be a lesson in durability and resilience.
