Not sure what movie the critics watched, because I saw none of the "put on a pedestal" baloney that they claim was in it. Maybe the negative criticism really stems from the clips in the movie casting ex-pres.
Reagan in a negative light. What I saw was an excellent portrayal of one mans struggle for human rights. It's an absolute shame and travesty that a movie about African slavery gets oscar acclaim but the human slavery that was and continues to be the plight of so many Hispanics gets panned.
Tsk tsk tsk.
