"Want to go to the diner"?

Kelly Reichardt is indeed a very talented filmmaker and she sure knows how to use a camera. There are some beautiful shots here but, her flaw in this film is her screenplay and its narrative. There's just not much going on that sustained my interest. I was checking my watch too often. There are prolonged scenes of people just driving or looking in the distance for long periods of time. All of the cast is great but the screenplay just doesn't give them enough to do. If you're a fan of Reichardt's type of storytelling, you should love it, but all others proceed with caution.
