Review of Centurion (2010) by Ernie T — 02 Dec 2010
I dug it! It's just a lot of fun. Very simple, straight-forward, fast-paced B-movie blood and swords on-the-run survival movie. Very cool. Michael Fassbender can do anything. He can be good, he can be bad and you buy him both ways.
Even in that god-awful Jonah Hex movie, he was good. What I like about Neil Marshall's movies is they aren't anything wholly original but they're well-made, good fun and always leave some room for quiet scenes where we get to know the characters a bit.
I'm a Neil Marshall fan. Oh and the action sequences are back to being well-edited! His last movie, 'Doomsday', was tough to watch cause of the over-cut action sequences but here, it's back to awesome.
