Review of Centurion (2010) by Phil N — 20 Dec 2010
A band of Roman soldiers take on the vicious Picts (and a mute Olga Kurylenko) in Neil Marshallâ(TM)s historical action romp. Directed with confidence and with a top notch British cast it looks great, but I always struggle with this kind of story (see also â" Chris Smithâ(TM)s Black Death) which never draw me in as perhaps they should.
Iâ(TM)d much rather watch Marshallâ(TM)s Doomsday, his criminally underrated love letter to John Carpenter.
