Review of Centurion (2010) by Rafiq U — 29 Feb 2012
One of the best action flicks I've ever seen, not only is the action top notch, but the pacing and feel of the movie is hard to shake. The landscapes are amazing and beautiful, while the constant feeling of dread and death lingers throughout. It's a really impressive feat, especially since this film is so poorly talked about. Michael Fassbender is great per usual, but background characters like Imogen Poots' character really brings more and more to the table, making it a movie full of the cliche characters, but the cliches don't detract from the movie since it's still so well done. I really don't give a shit what people say about this flick, because it's a friggin' amazing action movie that shouldn't be missed.
PROS: Michael Fassbender, Imogen Poots, brutal, fast paced, brilliant action, amazing landscapes mixed with a very definite feel.
CONS: The first scene's overuse of CGI blood.
