Review of Centurion (2010) by Peter P — 12 Sep 2012

This is a bloody, violent, club smashing head kind of movie. So if you like those type of movies, keep reading. It centers around Rome trying to make one last push into what would now be know as Scotland, and how the people there, called The Picts, basically kicked their butts.

Now, from this description you might think the Picts were the heroes in this, but it is actually about a small group of Roman soldiers who survive the massacre and are trying to get back home. As I said, this is a very violent film, with some of it looking very stylized, and in some cases a little fake.

The acting overall is fairly decent, with Michael Fassbender putting in another great performance, and they do a good job with making the language believable. Oh, and I think this movie has the prettiest "Witch" in any movie I have seen.
