Review of Centurion (2010) by Angel J — 24 Nov 2010
This film is a fun ride. Once you start watching, you jump into the seat of a centurion who has to find his way back home keeping the word of a deceased General. The action between the time he escapes and the time he gets home are filled with excitement, blood, gore, battle scenes, and mayhem.
A very interesting portrayal of the Roman 9th Legion in a Neil Marshall sense. He once again as proven that he is a master of gore and blood with his masterpiece drifting away from his horror roots. This film is very superior to a lot of movies being released by studios Lately.
It's sad to see that this movie was casted away like it was. Dominic West and Michael fassbender gave fantastic performances and really stuck to their characters. The Pict s were brutal and that's the way villains should be.
overall, this film was very exciting and fun for any action junkie or anyone interested in medieval films.
