Review of Centurion (2010) by The S — 27 Dec 2010
There has been a rash of films set around Roman Britain's northern border in recent years for some reason but this may well be the best of them. Well made and performed but offering little new, this is, none the less, quite entertaining stuff.
The most positive point is the portrayal of the attitudes of Roman soldiers and Pictish warriors - the most negative point (for some at least though others may love it) could be the very graphic gore and violence effects.
