Review of Centurion (2010) by Jay L — 14 Apr 2011
"My name is Centurion Quintas Dias, and this is neither the beginning nor the end of my story.".
Director Neil Marshall (The Descent) helmed this violent and bloody story of survival and behind enemy lines. A decent visual experience with some highly charged battle and action sequences, but the story isnt quite believeable, or for that matter too serious-minded in my opinion. Still a good film with enough blood and gore to go around for everyone, but let's face it, Neil Marshall is no Ridley Scott. Still a good effort, and solid directing as well, Marshall can only get better.
Michael Fassbender stars and is solid throughout along with Dominic West.
