As a Gervais/Merchant fan, I went into this with high hopes expecting however to be disappointed. It didn't disappoint. An excellent cast with cracking writing and direction makes you love the characters without becoming the usual clichà (C), over-the-top sentimental twaddle of this genre.
Stepping away from their conventional cringe humour, Gervais & Merchant have proved once again they're not a one trick pony.
