Review of Cedar Rapids (2011) by Omar G — 09 Aug 2011
An extremely intelligent comedy about a naive insurance salesman and his coming-of-age time that he experiences when sent to a Midwestern insurance convention. The movie definitely criticizes certain aspects of today's ways of doing businesses, and especifically the insurance business.
But all eyes should be concentrated on Ed Helms. His geeky character transformed into a wild party animal is exposed in this movie equally or even slightly better that in "The Hangover" movies.
And although he is the movie, no better comedic wingman could not had been selected in John C. Reilly's character. He and his lines were straight out loud funny. Anne Heche and Isiah Whitlock Jr. were great as well.
Miguel Arteta made a great job directing and telling this story. Bravo!!! Extremely funny. Please see it!!! Highly recommended.
