Review of Catch-22 (1970) by Ali M — 02 Oct 2008
It may seem surreal and dreamlike, yet who ever saw a war from the inside knows this is exactly the logic followed. And although you will laugh most of the time, it will still leave you feeling as hit by a truck. I loved it. I think everyone who thinks army is a good way to earn a pay check should see this.
The madness is ever present in this movie. Dark humor simply goes with war time. Either that or you'll join the mad and start killing. The list of amazing actors here is endless. There are scenes that simply take your breath away, and the best part is, you know those are not CGI, so you have to respect them. I just wish movies like this were still made in Hollywood.
