Alan Arkin is amazing, no question. And the laundry list of great actors in this film is staggering, but none of that mattered. This might have been the worst movie ive seen all year...yeah, thats pretty bad.
I enjoyed the film making, and the locations were pretty, but the story was incredibly hard to follow. Seeing as the book has a.d.d., its not hard for me to see that the movie wouldnt make much sense either.
Read the book, skip the movie.
