Review of Cat People (1942) by Dean W — 21 May 2011
A minor masterpiece, filmed on a shoestring budget and marketed as a horror movie, it saved RKO from bankrupcy.
A moody thriller with the main protagonist as a cat person that knows her fate but yearns for a different life. Shadowy and eerie this is not a horror movie, but a great psychological thriller with great acting and erotic underpinnings.
