Jane Fonda, Lee Marvin, John Marley and Nat King Cole all in one movie? Hard to believe, if you ask me. But, it happens in 1965's Cat Ballou.

John Marley, a marvelously talented actor, doesn't make it through even half of the movie, however, before he is killed off. Although it's a significant plot point, it's the first, if only, mistake of this film.

Nonetheless, Marvin's dual roles in this picture were the ones that garnered him an Oscar -- and, this is the film that launched his career. It's worth watching, but it's ultimately lacking a lot of development which comes along with most other films, of any genre.
