Review of Casualties of War (1989) by Peter P — 13 Jul 2009
An ok film that is more about the evil men can do when they are given any kind of power than it is about war. Nam was just the setting, but the film does not really get across the horrors of war like some other movies do, but I do not think it was tryiing to. It is all about what these guys feel untitled to when they have a gun in their hands and there is no one else around. The acting is realy good for the most part, and there are a bunch a good actors that have since gone up to make big names for themselves. Worth seeing once, but not twice.
Warning, not for the faint of heart, the rape scene is hard to watch, it could have been worse, but that does not excuse it.
