Review of Casualties of War (1989) by Jack G — 21 Feb 2010
Sean Penn is great, but Michael J. Fox delivers on a performance that I never thought he had in him. I wonder if it took every fiber in his body to keep from exclaiming "NOOOO! BASTARDS!" when murder happens in the movie.
Oh, and De Palma directs with grace and appropriate horror, done to one of Morricone's most moving scores. Oh, and it features the guy who plays Jacob on Lost as the biggest scumbag you'd never want to meet.
