Review of Cast Away (2000) by Raji K — 24 Jan 2012
A movie like this is extremely risky to make and many directors and stars would have no chance in pulling the movie off., Since we are dealing with a single character, we have to love the character or this film would be unbearable.
Tom Hanks is excellent, and you route for his survival and sympathize with his misery which makes his endearing relationship with Wilson the volleyball all the more charming. This movie is make or break, and in this case, it is quite a great make.
