Tom Hanks turns in one of the finest performances of his career in this incredible story of a man who survives alone on an isolated island, with his only "companion",.
Wilson...a volleyball...for over 4 years.
Robert Zemeckis directed the film & halted production for a year, so Hanks could lose 50 pounds & grow out his hair & beard to complete his transformation.
Helen Hunt is very good in supporting role as Hanks fiancÃÂ (C).
