Review of Cast Away (2000) by Devin P — 03 Oct 2012
Cast Away is - whether you like it or not - a beautifully astonishing movie. From Robert Zemeckis' claustrophobic, personal and isolated direction to Tom Hanks' portrayal of Chuck Noland and Wilson's portrayal of Wilson (maybe one of the best supporting roles ever seen?), two characters who I actually give a bloody god-damn about and who I'm screaming for to survive when that raft hits the waters.
A bona-fide classic - raw, emotional, and full of heart.
