Review of Casshern (2004) by Brent R — 13 Nov 2007
Matrix fans - eat this. Casshern is a non-stop hallucination, with fight scenes that will leave your jaw on the floor. I'm not a fan of anime by any stretch, but this anime-live-action style film is sick.
The plot concerns (among many other things) a scientist's experiment with NeoCells, cells that can enrich lives, cure disease, and.. unfortunately for some.. re-animate the dead.
The first twenty minutes will have you saying "what the hell is going on?", but in a good way. The scenery is pure CGI, and the movie sometimes takes the feel of a high-dollar video game.
Overall, amazing movie for those willing to risk the subtitles.
